Explorations of tree limbs has been a focus in my studio lately. Inspired by a single tree – a young oak that’s just outside my studio window – I have been printing limbs in layers with stencils, combining different palettes.

This was one of the first in the series, created in an autumn palette. The sections were hand printed and painted using archival acrylic paints. The entire surface has been machine quilted.

There are many layers and tetures to discover!

The quilt includes a hanging rod and D-ring on the back in an attached pocket. It installs easily, hanging from a single nail or picture hook.
